How do reusable period pads works?

Re-usable period pads work just like regular period pads, except they are made out of fabric and are washable. So instead of throwing them in the bin and adding to our ever growing waste problem. you wash them and re-use them over and over again.

How do i wash them?

You wash them like all your other clothes. By hand, in the washing machine or under the tap. Use regular cloth detergent and after washing dry them in the dryer, outside line or even on your radiator. The only special instruction is do not use fabric conditioner on them as this creates a layer on pads and makes them less absorbent.

What are Little Miss Periods reusable period pads made of?

Little Miss Periods re-usable pads are made out of selection of materials which work together to make your pad awesome.

  1. Top Layer is made of Charcoal bamboo flannel which is made from natural fibres, is naturally hypoallergenic, soft and breathable yet has incredible wicking properties.
  2. Middle layer is made out of more bamboo microfibre towel fabric, which absorbs and absorbs and then absorbs some more.
  3. Bottom layer is made out of polyester lined with PUL layer to make it waterproof.

I have heavy periods, will reusable pads work for me?

That's the best part, our reusable pads almost 3 times as absorbent as regular disposable sanitary pads. And to make them even better, we added a circular back shape to also make sure that you don't leak from behind.

Will the pads fit me?

Little Miss Periods reusable period pads come in 3 sizes.

  • 29cm Heavy Flow Pad.
  • 21cm Regular Pad.
  • 15cm Liner Pad.

These sizes work for both adults and teenagers.

How long will my pads last?

Just like all your clothes (Which you wash when dirty and don't throw them) the pads will last as long as 4yrs with regular use or even longer if you don't use them regularly.

I am ready to embrace reusable period pads, how many do i need?

Like any piece of clothing, it is your choice how many you want to have. you can have them with all colours under the sun if you want. At the minimum, we advice 6 to start with. We recomend our Cycle takeover kit to start. As you get everything you need to try this out.
